Every community has a need for safe homes, schools and neighborhoods. We all deserve nurturing relationships and a sense of belonging. All people have value and dignity, yet not everyone has the same access or opportunity. Stereotyping, prejudice, hate crimes and violence are realities that impact our communities.

At NOCCJ, we respond to hate and discrimination by building cultures of connection, respect and accountability.

NOCCJ’s programs are focused on raising awareness, facilitating dialogue, healing conflicts and bridging differences.  Our youth leadership programming give young people a safe place to talk about culture and conflict, a place where they are valued and listened to.  NOCCJ helps youth build confidence and skills for communication and leadership.

By embracing differences and striving for understanding, NOCCJ seeks to build a unified, peaceful and inclusive New Orleans, with justice for all.
